Is Time a Good Healer?

Time is a big topic in back pain.

  • How long did the pain take to develop?
  • How long did the pain take to go away?
  • Is there a time of day when the pain feels better or worse?

These are all good questions that can help us decide what type of injury a back pain sufferer might have, which is why they're included in our e-consultation.

But there's another way in which time can really help...

Time with the Experts

Patients comment all too often how quick appointments can be on the NHS, whether it's with your GP, a physio or a surgeon. The reason for such brevity is that everyone in the NHS is under time-induced pressure, as everything has to be cost-effective. Time is money.

When patients see Graeme or Toby in clinic, they will typically have 40 minutes. Some private clinics have even longer appointments, perhaps in particular for the first appointment of a new case. Mind you, patients have to pay for this time!

The real benefit of that extra time, however, is that it takes pressure off the whole situation, for patient and practitioner.

The very idea that led to BackPain.online was to fill the gaping hole between private and NHS healthcare for musculoskeletal pain.

What's the Value of Time?

  • A good history can be taken
Our e-consultation takes around 6 minutes on average, which is most of a GP appointment! We've made it as quick as possible, but we still want to collect the information we need.
  • A good explanation can be given to the patient
Our videos cover some pretty big topics broken up into digestible chapters that can be watched again and again!
  • Advice and Rehabilitation can be delivered
It takes time to explain why certain things help, and it takes time to make sure people are doing their exercises properly.

Overall, the total time of all the videos combined within BackPain.online comes to HOURS!

  • You'd need a lot of NHS appointments to cover all this material.
  • And you'd have to pay a fortune in private consultations to receive it all.
  • Not to mention that you can re-watch all our videos again and again, as well as read the written material that is given with each video.

This is how BackPain.online is helping people change their back pain stories.
